QuickStart Instructions for VisionShare Users
To ensure that its clients have a reliable, desktop-based solution for access to Medicare's mainframe applications, VisionShare recommends the use of Zephyr's PASSPORT PC to Host terminal emulation software. PASSPORT features a robust, IP-based TN3270E client, as well as FTP file transfer, for Microsoft Windows.
The following steps should be taken by VisionShare users in order to evaluate and/or use the Zephyr PASSPORT PC to Host software to access the Medicare mainframe using VisionShare’s SESD Real Time Data Transfer software:
Step 1:
Download PASSPORT PC to Host from the Zephyr web site at: http://www.zephyrcorp.com/Downloads/terminal-emulation.asp. Please complete the download form and select ‘VisionShare’ under the ‘How did you hear about us?” section of the form.
Step 2:
Run the downloaded PC2HOST.MSI and follow the step-by-step wizard to install PASSPORT.
a. If you’re evaluating PASSPORT, you can leave the license code field blank. If you’ve ordered the production version of the software online by credit card (from https://www.zephyr-customer-care.com/purchase/) you will be emailed a 16 digit alpha-numeric character code immediately after your purchase. Please cut and paste the license code from the email and copy into the license code field.
b. During installation, accept all the default settings except for the last dialog box to “Launch PASSPORT Now”. At the step, DO NOT LAUNCH PASSPORT (uncheck the option Launch PASSPORT Now) and go to step 3.
c. If step b is not done correctly, you will see the following dialog box appear (see below). Click Cancel and proceed to step 3.

Note: If you’re having problems with step 1 & 2, please contact Zephyr.
Step 3:
Locate the VisionShare SESDRT User’s Guide (this should be included in the CD you received when purchasing the VisionShare’s Secure Exchange Software) and go over the System Requirements under the Installation and Configuration Process section.
